1" drop stock springs

Someone has to have cut there stock springs for a 1" or 2" drop..

Anybody know how much to cut off?

I was thinking looking at mjbs stock cut coils I got versus my stock coils..I was thinking of if I lined the coils up next to each other...and cut where the cut ones are already cut..but 1 coil above would be about 1" drop..and if I cut half way betwen the coil and where the other cut coil already are would be 2"..

(if that makes sense to anybody).

Anybody got a opinion? I rather not make multiple cuts...and install..and un in stall...that's alot of work.

trial and error, I'd only take 3/4 of a coil off and test fit..

but remember the top coil is tightly wounded..compared to the others.

and the top has a flat portion..

so I figured if I cut the same area were MJBs are cut..but just 1 coil higher.

it should be in the 1-2" range..

I don't care if it's 1" or 2"..it's only temporarily till I get 4wd fenders
then I'm just gonna buy some Belltechs or somethin.

just throw your other wheels under the front, you said yourself you never drive it..

Lol that would be awkward

and the truck is already all apart...I'm not doing all that work and putting the 3"s back in lol.

id say maybe 1 and1/2 turns should put you right around the 1"-2" range.how much turns were cut from the 3"ones compare to the stock ones?

when i cut 1 1/2 on my stock coil it dropped me 2 inches. Rite now im 5/7 drop

hey how many did we cut for mine i forget but i got the drop i wanted i think i did like 2 coils cut from the top right?

yes u cut 2 coils

The other ones have like 2 full coils cut

but there wound different and don't line up (the coils)...to my 99 springs
I think there a different year(but they worked perfectly fine).
don't think they were v6 coils either..but i dunno.

I cut like 1 coil off..and a little less on the passenger side..hopefully it will sit even.

but I'm having a hell of a time getting the control arm back on...jacked it up..and can't even get it close to line up so I can get a drift pin in there..so I can put bolt back on.
no spring compressors = fail trying to put 1-2" drop springs
