no, they will not fit, not OEM 16" wheels anyways, without spacers. my dad has a 2008 toyota tacoma sport, and he got some 16" oem wheels for his winter set, and they didnt fit at first. in order for him to have no clearance issues, he had to put i believe, .5" wheel spacers. after wheel spacers, there wasn't any issue.
as far as 16" aftermarket wheels clearing, the right backspacing should take care of that. if you search, you can get the exact backspacing needed to clear your calipers with no issues.
on my generation tacoma, i have a 2002 trd package, and came stock with 16" wheels. a while back, i attempted to buy 15" mickey thompson classic 2's and i couldnt even come close to get the wheel on the studs before i had clearance issues with my calipers. its kind of a hit or miss, because i know some buddies of mine, and a few fellas on here who have cleared 15" wheel on this gen. taco with no problems.
hope this helps.
good luck.
