Well I took the truck to autozone to have it scanned, came back with...

p0136 heated o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 circuit fault
p0141 heated o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 heater circuit malfunction
p0120 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch "A" circuit

I haven't noticed a smell comming from the exhaust and the fuel milage hasn't seemed to tank so does this mean it's just the sensor?
If so what one is it? I've looked around but can't seem to find a diagram...guess I need to pick up a sevice book :doah:

As for the TPS code...the truck will sometimes surge when at a stop light other than that I haven't noticed anything....can the TPS be adjusted,or should I just spring for a new one?

the truck is a 2002 taco with a v6 and an auto....It's only got 119,000 on it :D

Here (attached) are the summary descriptions of the 3 codes from the FSM. The fifth attachment is the wiring diagram referenced in relation to the P0136 and P0141 codes.

Replace your O2 sensor, all your codes may go away.

I thought about offering exactly that same opinion, but ...

I couldn't figure out how a bad rear / second O2 sensor could trip a throttle position sensor circuit malfunction code.
Check the air filter if its really dirty or not. If it is clean out your maf. (Mass Air Flow Sensor.) Its the sensor right after the air cleaner box. Take out the sensor by removin the two phillips screws and cleaning out the hot wire woth a spray called CRC maf cleaner. Don't use anything else. It is found at pep boys or autozone. After thats done erase the codes and it should go away. Whats happens is dirt get stuck to the hot wire and it blocks its true measurement so it underestimates the air coming in, So for examples, Your going 65 miles an hour but the maf sees only 25 mph, so its going to give you 25 mph of fuel, when reality your getting 65 mph in air. So your running lean and throws a code out for malufuction which is incorrect. Even though a code doesn't get thrown out to tell you because the maf isn't malfuctioning its just out of range. Which makes your idle rough and your tps maluction. Try this first before spending bank on your oxygen sensors. I have 200000 on my taco and the only code I ever got was my cat efficienty is below threshold, but I know people so i don't have to worry about smogging it. its a bit confusing but tell me how it goes
