How do you remove this ugly thing? Don't plan on shaving it just yet, but want to take that spiral 'tenna part out.

if it's the same as the '01, then you can just unscrew it above the base. mine was actually loose when I brought my new truck home...

unscrew it how? mine is like flat at the base... dunno if i wanna take a pair of vice grips and twist it off... don't wanna break it just pull the flippin thing off : ). Thanks

if you're talking about removing JUST the mast, or actual antenna, you should see a flatted area right above the base, but before the actual antenna starts. It will take small open-end wrench; something like a 1/4"...don't remember for sure...see picture! <img src=http://www.duane.kennard.com/ant.jpg>
Of course, if yours isn't the same...again, this one is an '01.
