Need help from turbo 3.4 guys out there

So I built a turbo kit for my 3.4 swapped 93 4runner and I'm running a megasquirt system and just started to tune this thing .
I've done many turbo ls1 stuff but the toyota is a new animal for me . I dont have anything to go by for a ignition map and just got it running on a start up map from megasquirt. Does anyone have a ignition map for the 3.4 I can start from or anyone know what the stock ignition curve is?

Here is a 3rz turbo timing map that works very well on 93 octane pump gas. The 5vz has similar compression and redline so it's probably not too far off. I don't have a turbo timing map for the 5vz but someone else on here might.

I didn't change my ignition map. Just played with o2 and fuel maps.

Since you are running a Megasquirt and can set the rpm limiter to whatever you want you should know that the 5vz probably has similar rods to the 2rz and 3rz. They can take lots of compression force and handle boost very well however if you raise the rpm limiter much they will likely come apart. No one really knows for sure but it's probably weak rod bolts in these engines that make them self destruct if you raise the rpm limiter much. I think stock the 5vz limiter was set to 5600rpm.

I did not touch my stock timing map. I only have the ability to remove timing with my AEM. At WOT and full boost (17psi) I see 10-11* of timing with 93 fuel.

I have water meth but turned it off a couple months ago because I made some changes to my fuel pressure and now my tune is way too rich as is at 10.4 afr so I'm just on 93 rn

Why not just increase the ratio of water with less methanol? at least you will still get the cooling benefit of the water injection which will help control detonation

That's a good idea zip. Maybe that 0* summer formula washer fluid. It's gotten down to the teens here a few nights.
