Well as promised, I got down to my local race shop today and did a few runs with the X, to find out if I'd get any HP gains from the new Enerpulse Pulstar Pulse Plugs. (www.pulseplugs.com) . To be noted, I don't have many mods to begin with, K+N air filter, Cat Back exhaust w/ rear cat delete and magnaflow muffler, thats it.
First run with denso plugs was 219.9 HP and 261.0 Torque
after cool down period and plug change out to the DG-1 Pulse Plugs the run was. 224.8 HP and 267.4 Torque
So it looks like a small gain but a gain none the less. One thing to be kept in mind is what Mountain Lion said about comparing apples to apples because the new spark plugs are being compared to old plugs. I didn't have money to buy new Densos and the pulse plugs, and I was lucky enough to get a free dyno for a little mod like this. I'm just happy I got a gain from them, as the mechanics there said that some of the "fancy" plugs out there actually cause a decrease in hp.
Welll i work in a shop, thanks for the info.. any # on economy yet? My boss is interested after i read off your numbers. 5 hp and 4.5 torque on plugs, not bad... depends on how F'ed you densos were

a bit off the subject but i just bought some ngk-r v powers for my truck and as i was taking them off, the right bank had the denso spark plugs but the left bank had ngk plugs...are x runners supposed to be like this or did i get a one out of a thousand truck that's different?

Yeah, I thought that was really strange, as did all the mechanics.
YES! Pics of the old plugs, please. Not a bad gain for just plugs. Keep us posted on the mpg, and stuff.
What was the total cost of the plugs?
Sorry, I didn't think to take pictures of the old plugs, basically they looked like used plugs though, not super worn, but not real bad. My total cost plus shipping was around 160.00. So that's like 32 bucks per HP gain.
