That's just dumb,

If they are going for dramatic effect, then yea, it worked.

It would make so much more sense to either

A. Auction the cars off

or

B. Piece them out, then sell the parts.

I constantly hear cities complain about how they are so short funded. Yea, lets take a bunch of money in the form of cars and just destroy it to "show those illegal street racers we mean business".

How dumb

This isn't anything new... This is what happens to every Skyline that's brought over here without the MotoRex guys doing all their dirty work...

The cars aren't street legal... To make them legal again might cost more than what the auction price will be... So it makes even less sense to try and analyze what needs to be done for it to be sellable...

Crushing it pretty much solves the problem right there... The money part is handled by giving the owner a fatty ticket... They're never short of money, so why spend the labor to dismantle the thing to make chump change?

True, but they keep shutting down local tracks so what can you do? As far as parts go, everyone wants a good deal so you go to a shop or online and just buy a part. You can't assume every part is hot though ya know. But then again we don't own hondas.

So, the wheels are illegal?

Those would fetch a couple quick dollars at least.
