Default Trd Bbk From A Honest Toyota Dealer

So I went to order a BBK from the Toyota Stealer, And the guy told me that he couldnt look me in the eye and sell me this kit. He discouraged me from buying it saying the pads were only good for 18k and the rotos were 450.00 ot replace. Said he would fell bad selling me it. Does anyone know what the BBK pads and rotors cost ? and whats up with a parts guy being honest?

The Stop Tech brakes was the first mod I did. I have around 40,000 miles on them and they are about 75% down on the pads.

You can see the prices on the Stop Tech site if you want to price replacement pads and rotors.

I have only known one of our customers the whole time we have been selling the Stop Tech brakes that replaced the rotors.

You don't buy bigger brakes to save money.

Over the life of the vehicle, this vehicle, you just might.

I think I killed my stock brakes in about 4000 miles. At that rate I would be swaping rotors and pads more often then changing the engine oil.

I have 10 times that on the Stop Techs and I have not had to do anything to them.

Not meaning to hi-jack this thread, but dose anyone elses TRD BBK squeak a lot? I'm not sure if its because the rotors are cold, or the pads are cold. But it seems to go away with some driving. So I'm only assuming.

The stock brakes do not feel capable in my opinion. thats why Im considering bbk.....it thought it was funny that the parts guy felt guilty.I wonder if upgrading to SS lines and better pads would help.

I have no idea what pad TRD is using. The Stop Tech brakes I have have the AXXIS metal master pads, I think anyway, and they have never squeeked. I have heard of a very few people that said their's have squeeked on rare occasions.

You might try properly beding the pads.
