As of today 3/5/07, I have 849 miles on her. I just bought it not even 3 weeks ago, but I am having second thoughts about the 06' Mitsu Evo I wanted instead. It's a 2007 Black Sand Pearl Tacoma w/ Graphite interior, Access Cab, V6, M-6spd, 4x4, TRD off-road, Towing Package, 6disk changer, Toyota all-weather mats, and a Toyota extended warranty for 100k miles or 6 years. The only thing wrong with this beauty that would make it non-mint condition is the fact that I popped off the drivers side mud-flap on a snow mound at my school parking lot. I will put a new one on if the buyer wants it ($98 from toyota with the hardware). Anyway, to get to the skinny of it: I paid $28,700 for it after taxes and the warranty, and I am looking to get around $27,000 for it. This is essentially a brand new truck with a massive discount because of the ~850 miles, and I assure you that the truck is being babied for the break-in period. Feel free to ask questions.
yeah I know, but I wasnt sure if my heart was in the Evo, but now I know it really is. Either way, they are both great cars...just a question of apples or oranges.
Buy the evo. Seriously. I am in the opposite situation. My last car was an 03 evo and I had it fully built from the ground up. 20G-9 turbo w/ anti surge porting, AMS 2.3L stroker, Cosworth head/valvetrain, JUN cams, Advan RG-II's, TRE built transmission, RPS dual carbon clutch, carPC, etc. Granted that I put over 30 grand in the car after I bought it, but I have never loved any car I owned as much as the evo. Every time I drove it, it brought a smile.
The 06 evos have MIVEC and they get crazy power with little money. Exhaust, boost controller and a reflash and your sitting on 300+awhp easily. I had to sell my evo to and buy a used taco because I just bought a house, but otherwise I would have driven it until wheels fell off. God I love that car. I WILL buy another one some day.
Anyway, take it from someone who owned one, it is an incredible machine and if you have the chance to own one, take it. I promise you won't regret it.
Here is a link to a photo album with some pics of mine if you're interested.

Also check out evolutionm.net. There is a ton of great information on there. You have to weed through the ricer post and typical forum crap just like anywhere but you can learn a lot if you know how to search properly. You might even find a stock one with low miles for a good deal.
Hope I helped.
