07 Double cab + 04 4Runner

Did the 4Runner get the new interior before the Taco? I just bought an 07 double cab yesterday and my friend has an 04 4Runner Limited. It appears to be the same interior with, of course, the extra features that a limited has. I have access to a wrecked limited and i'm wondering if all the A/C controls and bezels would fit if I changed everything. Any ideas?

Also, what about the seats? They seem pretty damn similar....

The 2005+ Tacomas were based in part on the latest generation Prado / 4Runner, so yes - there's a lot of close similarity. Of course, close similarity doesn't necessarily translate into parts interchangeability.

Seems like someone brought up the issue of (latest) 4Runner / Taco dash components interchangeability, and the answer was 'no'.

The main issue with the seats isn't the physical size (they should fit fine) but the mounting underneath. Do a bunch of measurements on your Tacoma's and the 4Runner's seat bases / mounts to see if the bolt layout seems the same. Also check to ensure the 'feet' on the two seat bases are of the same type and configuration. If there's a good match, you have a chance to swap seats (with some minor tweaking / fabbing).

If you are talking about that joystick like set of controls ( I have only been in once) I remember thinking the same thing and not being able to compare to my truck I decided they wouldnt fit our dash, they may phsically plug into the wire harness but I doubt they could attah to dash
