Default Question about Turbo Installation

Anywho I've been wantin to throw a T1 turbo on my lil 2.4 Taco. Its a 2000 regular cab with a manual tranny. Anywho my question is what kind of tranny do most of you guys run when u throw on a turbo? I mean do u throw a completly new tranny or what? I mean it might sound like a dumb question but I just don't think my lil tranny on my truck could handle such a big boost like that without blowing. So if anyone could help me out and answer this I would appreciate it.

The last time i threw a turbo on my truck, it just bounced off so the transmission wasn't affected whatsoever. The hood did sustain a few good dents- those exhaust housings are cast iron and are pretty weighty. Maybe next time I throw a turbo on my truck, i'll open the hood and let the engine take the punishment.

I was gonna say throwing a turbo on anything wouldn't be wise... but what the hell do I know... They released fast and furious III so anything is friggin possible now!

A T1 woudl work great for somthing around 1.2l or smaller so it might choke the 2.4 a little bit.

I'm guessing and hoping it was just a typo and that he ment t4

It took quite a few try's for me to get mine stick by throwing it at the car, but once it stuck it looks pretty cool.
