Why would you do that? I had that engine in my Blazer and it was so underpowered you're better off staying with a Toyota motor and just putting some sort of F/I on it, Fill out your profile by the way so we know what you're driving now

first off let me just say please dont put a crapy chevy motor in a yota, u could do so much more with the yota motor and would be soo far better off, with that in mind theres a company called advanced adapters that spealizes in adapters and parts to put whatever u want in ur truck (i know this because was gonna put a small block 350 in my 94 yota pickup but back out thank god!!)

There was a guy that put a chevy 350 (I think) into his pretaco, but the 4.3L is a crappy engine. Heavy, weak, and unreliable. Rather than going through all of the trouble and expense of swapping the motor and all of the electronics for it, boost your motor. You will make more power than that 4.3L. Also, honestly ask yourself this question: how many of those chevy S10 4.3L or 4-bangers or blazers do you see on the road today? How many tacomas and pretacos do you see on the road?

Hey man, I've worked in a couple of machine shops and seen all kinds of engine disasters, but never saw a broken 3rz, 2rz, and definitely not a 5vz. I have seen plenty of nuked hondas(get 'em hot once and they melt like butter!), mitsubishi's, nissan's, etc.I've taken engine building and theory classes and passed with flying colors. I used to be 100% Chevy, but after all of my education and real-life experience on the subject, I sold my $h!tty Camaro and decided I would only buy a Toyota- they have got it goin' on. I have an '01 S-Runner now and have fallen deeply in love with it. Next year, I'm getting my Mk.IV Supra! GO TOYOTA!

well i have a 87 pickup on 33 tsl swampers so i dont need speed i need realiablility and the 22r just wont do that this is my 3rd motor and its getting costly and im tired of fooling around with them. ive had a few 4.3's in my time and never had a problem witht he propper maintence and as far as electrical woes go its going to be carbed so i dont see that being a problem. and i cant find any one that will help me rebuild my 22r so im leaning toward 4.3
