Default Coil overs vs spacers

im sure there are many threads out there that already talks about this topic but it hought it would be good to bring it up again and get more feedback...

coil over vs spacers what do u guys think? the only way i see it is that the coil overs are obviously better in performance and im sure in overall ride...especially if u plan on going off roading...but the big difference is money hoes package at demello offroad is 1650 where u get the hoes front and bilstein 5100 in the rear with 7 leaf deaver package...vs 199.00 3" inch spacer kit from toytec where u get front and rear spacers with AAL leaf springs...

first off what do u guys think? can any of u spacers give more feedback on why u guys think spacers are better then coil overs?

and my second question is has any of u guys gone thro demello? i live in norcal and i live about 7 hours away from there and wish to go down to get my truck lifted so i was wondering if any of u cali truckers gone thro them?

P.S please feel free to say anything about either or...or what u guys think i should do

That about nails it right there. If you plan on doing a good amount of offroading then go with some coilovers but if you just want to be up in the air a lil more then go with the spacers. I've got the 3" toytec with shackles in the rear and the ride doesn't bother me that much. It just depends on how much offroading your going to do. Good luck with deciding

I think it all depends on what you plan on doing. If it is mainly street, just get the spacers with some bilsteins. I think that would also be a good choice if you mud alot. But if you like bein out in the desert, or want better flex from the front, get coilovers. As to which ones you get, I'm pretty sure you just pick a color and go. You got blue (king, fabtech dirt logic), red (sway-away, camburg), or black (donahoe). I personally have the burgs with upper arms and deavers out back and love it to death.

being in norcal, chances are you're crawling and exploring more than prerunning or bashing in the desert, so i say go with spacers if money is an issue...

ive had both spacers and DR coilovers. unless your into the whole desert racing scene, go with the spacers. the coilovers rode like crap on my truck and didnt flex all that great because they were stiff. most of the 4wheeling i do is mud, riverbeds, trails, etc. i have the ToyTec 2" spacers with the HD bilsteins and they ride and flex better then the stocks and the coilovers.

IMHO, the coilovers are only good if your gonna be doing alot of desert stuff. other than that, its just a really expensive accessory to brag about, especially for people who are on the road with them most of the time

okay so this is what ive decided...i went to the toyota dealership for my 10k mile check up and i asked them about the trucks they had that were "custom fixed" u no dual tip exhaust spacer lift kits rims and tires and wat not....and they gave me th enumber to that place and they said that for me to get the revtek spacers flowmaster exhaust 305/70/16r and wheels for about 3500 so i think ive decided to go that way...im too broke to get the hoes and im not going to be doing toooo much off roading probably none at all sooo there u have it wat do u think? oh by the way with the 305's they're giong to do all the trimming and everything
