Question Larger centerbore to smaller?

I know you have to hone out a lot of oem rims to fit a tacoma, but is there any ramifications of going the opposite way?

Reason I'm asking is I'm trying to sell my old wheels and someone that has a car with a smaller centerbore is interested in them.

Does it matter?

As long as their wheel setup can handle a lug-centric format (having the wheels centered solely by the lugs) it'll be OK. They might have to consider different lug nuts to achieve a safe / secure fitment, depending on what they've currently got.

Seems like I've seen spacer or adapter plates that are designed to help in fitting larger-bore wheels onto smaller hubs... Don't remember for sure, though...

Stock alloy Toyota wheels or aftermarket? I assume aftermarket and if so they're most likely lug centric type wheels, the kind that use acorn style lug nuts so they'll be fine.

Most factory Toyota alloy wheels are hub centric and use shank style lugs.

They also make hub centric rings that you can use but you'll have to figuree out what size ring you need and if that size is even available if it's an odd size.
