Default Should I change plugs at 30k miles?

The previous owner lost the owner's manual. The truck has 30K miles. Is it time to change spark plugs? What kind of 30k miles service the owner maual suggest?

Probably don't need to change them yet. I am not sure what the book says, but Toyota seems to use good plugs from what I have heard. If you are worried about it, pull a plug and check it out. If it is just a little darkened, then its fine. If it is oily, gooey, or charcoaled, think about replacing them.

hell, i changed it every 10k or so, but i was running nitrous and using cheap ass autolite plugs

your plugs should be changed every 30k
typical 30k svc here at the toyota dealer consists typically of the following: oil & filter change, air filter change, plugs, tranny and diff fluid change, tire rotation, coolant fluid drain and refill (use red toyota fluid) inspection of belts, hoses, and undercarriage, top off all other fluids and lube hinges........that is the usual 30k for most toys...............

This right off of Toyota's website:

30,000 Miles or 24 Months:
Replace engine air filter
Replace engine oil and oil filter
Replace engine coolant
Rotate tires
Replace limited-slip differential oil (Land Cruiser)(if vehicle is equipped with limited-slip differential)
Replace non-platinum spark plugs (Sequoia, Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner)(Required under the terms of the Emission Control Warranty)
Lubricate propeller shaft (all 4WD except Highlander and RAV4)
Lubricate wheel bearings and drive shaft bearings (Land Cruiser)
Re-torque drive shaft bolt (Highlander, 4WD RAV4)
Re-torque propeller shaft bolt (all models except Highlander and RAV4)
Inspect the following:
Automatic transmission fluid
Fuel tank cap gasket
Ball joints and dust covers
Limited-slip differential oil (4WD Highlander, 4WD RAV4)(If vehicle is equipped with limited-slip differential)
Brake lines and hoses
Brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
Manual transmission oil (Tacoma, Tundra)
Drive shaft boots (Land Cruiser; Highlander; RAV4; 4WD Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner)
Rear differential oil (all models except 2WD Highlander and 2WD RAV4)
Exhaust pipes and mountings
Front differential oil (4WD models, Highlander, RAV4)
Steering gear box
Steering linkage and boots
Fuel lines and connections, fuel tank band and fuel tank vapor vent system hoses
Transfer case oil (4WD models)

Additional Maintenance Items for Special Operating Conditions:
Inspect nuts and bolts on chassis and body
Replace air conditioning filter (RAV4)
Replace automatic transmission fluid (all models except Highlander and RAV4)
Replace front differential oil (all 4WD except Highlander and RAV4 w/ auto-matic transmission; 2WD Highlander and 2WD RAV4 w/ manual transmission)
Replace manual transmission oil
Replace rear differential oil (including limited-slip)
Replace transfer case oil (4WD models)

Whoa, crazy kinda maintenance. Looks like I gotta get dirty soon. I am on my way to putting 25-30K miles on my truck a year. Thanks for the corrected info.

just so you guys know, if you dont do anything to your 2.7 4x4 taco it runs fine until 120,000 miles, even through swamps, beat up farm land, wood, and mines. Then it runs like sxxx. This is also about the time your airbag light starts blinking, someone runs into you, you friend jackknifes a trailer into the bed, and your girlfriend or exgirlfriend keys your truck. Any advice on any of these things/

thats a lot of stuff to do for 30k maintenance....gee i never did half that stuff hahaha

haha your 2.7 is the same as my cousins...100k and he barely does anything cept change oil. now his exhaust manifold is leaking so i guess its time for a header.
