Largest Rims on a standard Cab Taco+ max Width

OK who know this one:

What is the fattest rims that can go on a Standard Cab Tacoma. I have a good deal on som e 18 for dirt cheep but dont think they will fit cause they are 8 1/2" Thick.

well ihave 18x 8 but don't have a clue about the 1/2

It all depends on the offset. With an 8 1/2 " wide wheel you will need a fairly extreme offset to compensate for the width. I would say at least a 35mm offset, otherwise they will stick way out past your fenders. The problem is, if it is too high of an offset it may come in towards the truck to far and interefere with your suspension components. You might want to PM teeque if you find out what the offset is. He will most likely be able to give you an answer as to weather or not they will fit.

i got 17in. that are 9in. wide and i got to get some 4wd fenders to lower mine like i want it

PIMPIN's are 18x8.5 or 18x9. They are from a Mitsu 3000 GT and he tucks no prob. I don't know the offset though.

I dont know the offset either but they fit and they are 18x9.....still have about 1" on the inside...they are from a all wheel drive car so they are offset way inside......what are the offset of the rims you are trying to get????
