Default 8.5\" Too Wide?

I'm getting ready to lift my mini, all the parts are in includings wheels and tires. Will an 8.5" wheel be too wide for the well on my taco? The splindle instructions say 3.75" of backspacing on the wheel but I am going to push it a little with 4" of backspacing. Will the 8.5" wheel be too wide?
(I am going to be running a 31x10.5 RI5 rire.)

It will stick out of the fender if that is what you are asking. Just curious but why are you even going to try a wheel with the wrong backspacing when the company even tells you the correct backspacing? Even if you use a spacer it will end up looking the same as if you were to use a wheel with the correct bs.

well I was wondering if 8.5" will cause rubbing... Some people have also ran wheels with more than the correct backspacing and they worked. I am just going to trade my 15x8.5s in for the 15x7s with 3 1/4 backspacing. I got the 8.5"s because the 15x7's are on backorder and won't be in until next month.
