Is the Ebay Pyle or Pyramid brands good?

I've seen on ebay hundreds of Pyle and Pyramid brands of DVD players, CD players and all kinds of sound systems. I saw their website saying that High performance sounds for an affordable price. I bought the pyle 1000watt amp b4 but never got to install it because back then I had a Ford contour and now I have a new tacoma so I sold the amp. Has anyone ever used this brand or heard of how good this company is?

If its good then I think I may buy the in-dash motorized dvd player because compared to an alpine dvd player($1200), the pyle would be about $300+ but not reaching the price of $1200. Replies would really help. thanks

in this particular case, you get exactly what you pay for. i'd suggest something better.

pyle, pyramid, and lanzar are the WORST brands you can get. I rate them under sony/audibahn, and if you ask around, it's well-known that I hate sony/audibahn.

same with Boss, Legacy, Jensen and some others, they are all basically the same.

id have to say Cuspid tops my list for the worst? a funny story on those brands.. buddy of mine was lookin for a cheap system to put in his DD. 87 stanza

. had a pyramid 2 channel amp and cuspid 6x9s. had the amp because i gave him a pioneer head unit taht blew the rear channels and he was using the cheap amp for the rear. also had a decent 500W kicker amp and subs in the car. The car got broken into and the only thing taken were teh cuspids and pyramid amp. theifs were idiots.

Should stick with what works.

funny story on cuspid: I have 2 10" Cuspid subs in cheap QLogic boxes, and I have them connected to my computer for bass while gamming. It actually works really well! And it was only $10 each at a swap meet

i have a pyle 7 in lcd screen in my visor. sure it is cheap but it does work pretty good. i've had it like 6 months now with no problems. now the pyramid speakers on the other hand are pure crap, my buddy had some when we were teenagers. on the average they last about a week before they blow out.

that's a good point. The off-brand screens are fine.
