Default I don\'t even know what I have!

I want to do some stuff to my new truck but I don't even know what I currently have. My tires say 265/75R16, what is that? I see everyone in here talking about 31" 33" etc... When I do the conversion from millimeter to inch that would mean I have a 10 inch tire ???

My tires are rubbing the frame pretty bad whenever I make a turn. I guess I will need some type of lift but everyone is talking about BL, suspension, coil, coilover etc... I'm lost again!

Many of the articles that I try to read and learn from are written with a technical audience in mind...and that is not me! What do you think I should do, and can someone tell me I don't have 10" tires please!!!

I also wanted to show that I have almost no clearance between my tire and my mud flap. Probably about 1/2" between them.

Ok, maybe i cna be of some help. Your current tire and wheel combo give you a tire that is 10.43" in width Thats when you convert 265 in to inches. Overall your tires are 31.65" in height so a 31/10.5 would be a close match. Check with the 4x4 guys on what will and wount fit with each lift. Also you didnt mention what you drive, 4x4 xcab, prerunner, ect...

Do you have aftermarket wheels, if so your offset(backspacing) might be funky and that might be causing the rubbing

Also even with your tire that close to your mudflap does it rub there too or only on the frame, I too have 31" tires but mine are real 31s, yours look to be a little bigger than 31s as stated above in the other post

I no my tires are pretty close to my mudflaps but I never rub ever

As for lifts...
BL, Body Lift- raises body up of of frame to give desired lift height, mainly used to clear tire if rubbing if already lifted via suspension and you need that little extra inch of room or inches

Suspension- includes coilovers, coils, spacers, kits like the fabtech/procomp/trailmaster that give 4"/6"/6" of lift via new locations for the control arms
coils-OME, Old Man Emu products, give up to 3" depending on what you by, good and decent price
coilovers- SAWs, Donahoe, Fabtech, KING, etc., great but pricey, also adjustable

feel free to ask as many questions as you need

Take note I did not cover anything for reat setups
