Default LSD Alternatives? Lokka & Powertrax lockers

the og plan was to run a detroit trutrac until i found out many they fail at only 10-20k!

I found some new lockers with the same design. I cant post urls because of my post count but google them with 'toyota 7.5" and they come up.

Powertrax Lock Right

Lokka

Spartan

The truck will be my DD with stock size tires. The locker is for drifting.

anyone use this type of locker before?

I have the Richmond lockright. Works ok, sometimes they dont let go like they should.
But it'll take all the abuse you can throw at it..

I dont know if you heard, but lockers eventually wear out too.

Why is eveyone wanting to "go drifting" lately?

What about an ARB or Eaton Locker? More money, but you can disengage them for longevity. A Detroit failing at 10K sounds like a poor install to me.

Detroit is my first choice and never had problems with the few I've had.

Laggy disengage isnt as bad i guess. Does it engage smooth and instantly? also how many miles have you put on the richmond. I sold the s13 so I need a 'pick me up' here and there.

I have around 30k miles on mine, I bought it as a complete used 3rd member...
So I'm sure there is plenty more on it than that..

It engages at times kind of harsh when I'm just taking off sometimes with a loud POP!

Its kind of fun

I too run the Richmond locker and can say it takes abuse, and I probably have 30,000 miles on mine too maybe more
