Got past alarm?

Hey guys, i haven't posted anything in a long time, but last night some douche bag broke into my truck, my sisters Subaru and my neighbors Corolla, nothing was stolen from any of the vehicles, except the truck, they just took everything out of any compartments they could find and ransacked it, i have a new aftermarket stereo and the headunit wasn't touched, they just took about $30 out of the center console in my truck, anyways i was just wondering i recently had a nice 2-way alarm installed that has a very bright LED light in the dash, when someone hits the truck or opens it/sets the alarm off the key fob lights up and beeps and tells me later if i didn't notice it then that someone touched the truck.....none of that was going on. i was sure last night i locked my truck and all the doors and windows were closed. my sisters car was locked also and has an alarm, but its very basic, how did they get in my truck? and not take a stereo to pawn? just leave the doors open to piss me off? what would they have had to have to unlock it AND deactivate the alarm? I have tested it before and you can unlock the doors with the key in the truck and that does not deactivate the alarm you have to use the fob and i have both. the guys that installed it do not have my address, so this is kind of a rant lol. it just pisses me off, i spend a lot of money on a nice alarm and they just open the doors like its nothing......oh and nothing was damaged by the way, i hate people......oh and Happy New Years!

My first guess is that the truck wasn't actually locked ...

Sounds like an "inside" job. Have you interrogated anyone around you? Family, friends (who took your keys while you were asleep). Maybe you forgot to get someone a Christmas present, or you gave them something crappy? LOL.

Not taking out the stereo is the biggy. No one breaks into a truck without tearing out the dash to take the radio. Lol. Usually with a hacksaw and a screwdriver.

i thought maybe it wasn't locked either, but i know the Subaru was and they got into that and it also has an alarm....and i don't think it was an inside job because they got into my neighbors car too. and can't you get money for the face plate though? the face plate is removable, i take it out now at night

Seems unlikely both alarms were left disarmed, it's probably not hard to build a radio transmitter and drive around robbing cars. My alarm gets triggered often by planes or something which is frustrating because my doors are shaved and get left wide open all night

It has never accidentally been triggered or broken into except one time about 4 years ago my dad forgot to lock the doors.....

I can turn off ANY alarm in 3 seconds.. get in, get out and you know nothing..
