Default Need turbo rebuild advice

So my friends got a garret 60-1 that needs a rebuild. His return line kinked and blew the seal causing oil to puke out of the turbo, but we caught it before the wheel touched tho housing, I live on oahu so I'd have to send my turbo out, so I have 3 questions.
Could I just buy a new cartridge? They have a few for what a rebuild cost but wouldn't have to pay for shipping 2 ways.Or is it possible to send just the cartidge out? Also any reputable rebuild shops? Either option runs from 350-650 depending on shipping. Got it free so plz lmk

I recommend on just investing in a new turbo. The rebuild will cost almost as much as getting a new one. I bought my garrett 60-1 for about 500 bucks. I just had to do some searching online to look for the best deal.

I agree. You can get much better turbos now days for only slightly more. A 5858 would be a great turbo, spool faster and make more power then the 60-1.

They have a best offer option as well.

Or get yourself another old school turbo for about the same price as a rebuild like posted above. Turbonetics is old school but cheap.
