Boost the 2rz.. If you want to keep the ps and ac just go with the stock motor.. The 5.3 will fit but headers are a nightmare and getting the stock gauges to work will be a task. As far as a 2jz, in any event I'd rather a 1j but that's a personal thing.. But the stock firewall on the passenger side has to be modified to clear the stock twins.

Thanks for the input. A friend of mine has a 5.3 that he will give me but only if I do the swap cause he has never seen it. I dont want to use my truck as a test rat. Im leaning more towards boosting the 2rz. Is there any weaknesses from the 2rz that I sould be aware of?? with the 2jz would it be possible to keep AC and PS

Speedfreek on here did an ls1, you can search through his build thread for what he had to do.
Turboing the stock 2rz is by far the easiest option. If you want to go more than 7psi you will need additional fueling, a tuning computer, mls headgasket and arp head studs.

I do want to buy your truck. Trade plus cash lol. your truck was some motavation to boost the 2rz. I do have an automatic any drawbacks besides banging gears and hearing a blowoff valve?

a tad bit more driveline loss, and needing a new valve body which is expensive as all get out.
