Default Going turbo wtih ????'s

Ive been contemplating going turbo recently. What does everyone think of the turbo mani on koracing.net? 400 sounds like a good deal.

http://www.koracing.net/viewproduct....ca2c306839675b

Also, I will be picking up a ebay turbo brand new off a friend. I dont quite understand the wastegate flange connections on the koracing manifold. Arent most ebay turbos internal wastegate?

And finally, I have a 95 2rz, should I upgrade to a set of pink tops from an 01-04? I would like to sit at 8-10psi hopefully in the mid 200s whp/wtq

Well it depends what ebay turbo you got. If it is internally wastegated then I'm sure you can buy a block off plate for the KO manifold, and ya its a good price.
Pink tops will do you good for 8-10 psi too.

Post up your progress or any other questions.

I believe its an internal waste gate turbo. Im picking it up brand new for 150 bucks

My only other question would be how the hell is anyone fitting an intercooler on the 95/96s. maybe its just my 4wd front end. but my bumper and valance virtually touch my radiator core support.

As for the intercooler. It's definitely really snug. It sits right behind the bumper and kinda rests on top of the 2 bumper thingy's comin out. PM me if you want some shots of how I mounted it.

I was actually thinkin of going to washington for a car show this summer. sittin pretti has a good show (or so I've heard) over there. Have you ever gone? Any other good shows there?

Yup, you get what you pay for..
On mine, within less than 2 tanks of gas, the chra puked out..
Lots of oil in the intake.. Nobody has service parts for a no name china turbo and it's just not worth it..

I primed it by pouring oil in the oil feed tube and pulled the efi fuse and cranked it till I saw oil coming from the drain line, buttoned it all up and ran it..

Also, internal wastegates blow, lots of erratic boost creep no matter what you do.. External is your friend..

I said why the hell not and dropped some coin on the KO Turbo kit in late March, should have everything by the 1st of May because he said with his schedule he's a month out..

Gonna be a good year

Im in Bellevue, Wa which is about 60 miles south of bellingham. Hit me up if you have any questions, I love toyota's and i love turbo's, so im always interested in helping someone looking to have some boost in there life. But please dont even think about buying a brand new turbo for 150$. Go for a used one or base model new at like 600$. When that cheap turbo comes apart it could throw metal down your intake plenum and into the cylinder destoying your engine, not worth it at all.

My truck was done at Speedfactory Racing in University Place. Give them a call and ask for Ricky.
