Does TRD or anyone else make a cat back kit for the 2.4L ? I know TRD makes one for the 3.6L but I have the 2.4

I think I saw one for the 2.7L..I'm guessing (take it for what it is) that the 2.7L system isn't much (if any) different than the 2.4L system.

Has anybody tried this?

Borla makes one for the 2.7L which is the exact same stinkin thing as the 2.4L. Same exhaust head, etc, just bored over. TRD does make one but only for the extended cab, not for regular cab. BUT to me I think the borla or a custom Flowmaster kit sounds alot better than the TRD. But that's just me.

TRD does make one but the cheapest I've seen it was 450.00. what a rip off. Are you looking for sound or performance?

You are always going to pay more for the stainless steel systems like the TRD. I had a Flowmaster system designed and installed for $200 cash. Just need the headers now.

I want to improve the sound of my truck with a cat-back but I don't want to lose any power/torque. After installing the flowmaster system did you notice any negetive changes?

I did a flomaster catback on my 2001 and noticed a slight power increase. I did notice a substantial sound improvement.

I used a 2 chamber flowmaster and dumped the pipe right after the mufler. It's pretty dang loud if you ask me. It really helped power in the higher RPM ranges but actually hurt it a little on takeoff. But, mines an automatic too.
