Cat delete?

I was thinking of deleting the cat to make the engine sound louder, will this do that? Also what are the cons of doing this?

Why dont u just cut the muffler off there would be no point in deleting the cat if you still have the muffler and it would be far cheaper since if all you really want ia sound you coild just leave it like that

Depending on what year Taco you have you would or could get a check engine light by removing the cat unless you have or get the rear O2 sensor simulator from URD & that would keep you from getting a check engine light. If you want to make it louder you could also get a high flow cat & install it & that would make it louder but you'd still possibly get a check engine light with the high flow cat. I have a Magnaflow high flow cat on my 2001 Taco & TRD headers & TRD cat-back exhaust & it does make noise even when I accelerate moderately & when I go WOT it is really loud, but sounds good.

If you want your truck louder change the muffler. If you delete your cat you won´t pass emission tests and most certainly get a check engine light. Do it right, for sound change the muffler, there are tons of cheap alternatives at summitracing.com

Judging from previous posts hes in cali... N he has a magna flow muffler so nvm on the cutting the muffler uness he just gets a manual cut out, closed during emmisions open whenever else
