You're gonna have to cut the pickup tube if you use a genuine walbro 255 man. No way getting around it. The pump is taller than the stocker.
It's not a big deal at all. Do not fret! Just use a copper tube cutter and cut like 3/4" off or whatever you see fit. You can still go back to stock since you are given a new rubber hose that is longer than the stock one..
i second this...i myself used a hack saw because thats all i had, but it still worked, ive got pics of it at home on my desktop, but im deployed right now and cant post em up or else i would so you can see how painlessly easy it was.
just get the URD pump and call it a day, why not support the guys that have been supporting us all these years when hardly anyone else would?

Re: Best prices for genuine Walbro 255 pumps?
I have a 255 pump feeding my LS1, soon to upgrade to an Aeromotive A1000, but the 255 keeps up just fine WOT @ 6000rpms feeding 5.7 Liters. But with the new setup (Boost @ 15+psi + possibly a stroker 383) it will surely not cut it.
It also worked fine when I was pushing 23psi through my 2RZ with 550cc injectors, however they (the injectors) became static at high rpms/boost, so the fuel pressure was adequate, but the injectors were well beyond their effective range.
I think I paid around $130 for mine about 5+ years ago and still going strong, dont remember where I got it though. So I guess my entire post is pretty much irrelevant, lol.
