Default Please look! Help! Suspension

Yeah, yeah, this has probably been covered a million times before but I have a 97 Tacoma and I'm really looking into lowering it. I'm looking for a 4/5 or 5/6 drop and I really don't know where to start. I'm really an amateur at this stuff and don't have a clue on how to do it (I'm 17). How much money am I looking at to do this? I know I will need new tires since the ones I have are too thick. I'll post a picture of my truck and a truck I would like mine to look like. Any info is greatly appreciated. Please list everything I will need. THANKS!!!!!

Newb or not. Amateur or not. Search is your best friend. Put forth a little effort before asking questions / making new threads
Will keep you from getting flamed on. just saying.
Good luck with the truck. It has lots of potential.

BlackMamba:

If you're not experienced with dropped vehicles, you might want to consider a ball joint flip and some blocks (the most economical lowering approach ...) to get a 3/4 drop, then see if you like it enough to go for the additional 1" to 2".

Dropping the truck will affect a lot of things - most particularly the ride. If you find you don't like the dropped stance, a B/J flip would be a lot cheaper to write off as an experiment. Just my .02 ...

As with almost any drop, stiffer shocks are a must
