Default need help bad.

97 tacoma 2.4L had codes p0171, p0130, p0133. which all point to the o2 sensor. So changed it and now the truck runs rough, stutters bad on accel, puffs a little black smoke. CEL turned off and my scanner isnt picking up any other issues. I dont see why its doing this after i changer the o2 sensor. Please help! I need to smog so i can get my tags in CA

(1) Welcome to CT!

(2) Did you meant P0141 rather than P0171? P0141 specifically points to the heated 02 sensor heater circuit or the ECM. On the other hand ...

P0171 is a general fuel trim malfunction code (system is too lean). The heated O2 sensor is only one of the possible causes for a P0171. The others are:

- Air intake (loose hose; leakage)
- Fuel line pressure
- Blocked injector
- Mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- Engine coolant temp (ECT) sensor
