Placing my order with Marlin Crawler tomorrow. Modified R150 with an early 3vz 4wd transfer case. They claim it to stand up to 1000hp should be worry free!

Are you sure you mean 3vz? It is passenger side drop.

What options did you pick, all of them?

*R150F

If I understand what they are telling me correctly they put a larger diameter, but shorter length input shaft into a 96+ v6 transfer case to make it driver side and still mate up to 88-95 v6 R150F. I'm going with the higher 1st gear, performance gear set, and chromoly thrust washer.

Got the choice of going gear/chain in the transfer case. Any recommendations?

From what I have researched the gear setup is stronger!

Check out Pirate 4x4 and do a search over there, those guys love the gear drive setups for the purpose built rigs.
