10 years and counting and my synchros are just fine. And for the record, it's a short THROW shifter, has nothing to do with the internals.

Lol. My synchros were worn BEFORE I put in the short throw.

It's your typical "lightning fast shift" habits that chew away at the synchs.

if you have a shorter throw youll tend to shift gears faster. which CAN wear the synchros faster.
really your paying $200 to make your shifter vibrate. unless you race the truck i dont see the point.

^this!

all it does is change the geometry of the shifter, basic lever and fulcrum...the destroyed synchros is your own fault if it happens, and no fault of the shifter itself.

And mine only cost 100 bucks and doesnt vibrate...URD FTW!

Does the URD shifter kit make the shifter arm itself longer? (raise it up a little). The reason I ask my shifter boot attaches to the shift knob, if the shifter arm becomes any longer it would no longer be able to attach.

yes, by MAYBE 1 1/2 inches, at most...honestly, i noticed it at first, but now i cant even tell.

Is it an aftermarket shift boot?
