95 2rz-fe Not Starting

It ran just like normal on Thursday afternoon, then I tried starting it on Sunday with no luck. It has always had the lifter tick, I believe. I do remember that the 2nd spark plug boot had some sort of reddish crusty residue on it when I took it out, the wires were last changed around 2 years ago, but I swapped them out on Sunday.

if it was the timing chain you would typically hear a metallic slapping sound on the front of the engine. Unplug the Crank position sensor and try and start it, then plug it back in making sure the connection is good and try and start it again.

I went out and started to take the CPS out, but it is blocked by the alternator bracket. Do I need to remove the oil pan to get that bracket out of the way, or am I over-thinking undoing the 2 12mm bolts?
