not tryin to be nitpicky i swear...just tryin to narrow it down, and see if we can figure this out

it could go as far as other suspension/steering components like ball joints and tie rods when it comes to the steering issue you mentioned...last time those were changed?
im lowered almost 6 inches in the front with stock ball joints/tierods on 18 inch wheels and some what low pro tires and my steering has great center return...

but in all all honestly a stiff ride is pretty normal when lowering any vehicle, because you no longer have the same suspension travel as before, so by theory you cannot have the same ride quality.

to me, the stiffer the better

i dont know when that stuff was changed. might never been changed.. if you like a stiff ride, you would love my truck.. can you say goat wagon with zero center return ?

my truck's steering wheel didn't return to center either thought it was an alignment issue but it wasn't. then one of the lower ball joints broke. you should inspect your ball joints and see if the boots are torn. if they are, there's probably no grease in them. you can try to grease them up, but i would change them out before they break while you're driving or something. i changed all four of my ball joints, got an alignment and everything's fine now.
