My truck eats up steering racks with a 3 inch lift, I would say thats probably whats going on with your truck too.

You know now that you mention it my 04 doub cab feels the same way. I have no lift stock suspension and cooper st tires. Could it be the shocks? I have about 90,000 miles on it and it is a work truck.

it is more than likely your shocks or springs, if they are old they will not soak up the road and will transmit to your steering wheel and give you the feeling of bump steer
