Check all your possibilties?
I paid 300.00 for used. there not that cheap. That was in the high cost of living, state of California. I have noticed some car parts get cheaper the further east you go.-and I dont mean any major metropolitan area(New York City, Chicago).
check all your possibilties for dropping the rear..I could name a few.
- Steel Drop blocks
- Although, not familiar with concept, de-arch your springs, not sure if it just makes them firmer and/or drops the rear as well.
- Get Used Pre-runner leafs(shop around compare, physically pick them up so you can see them, and also might have pairs to choose from)-you might also be able to get a vin number with a history of what they came out of and how many miles or on them.
- Buy new custom, or after market made leaf springs (all together I would think more expensive)...
- I beleive anything else would possibly be crap, or get more expensive.
In my experience, my pre-runner leafs work great with new KYB mono max shocks...(firm shocks)
None the less it is a MOD (modification). There engineered for a pre-runner, not a regular cab.
-Check the site do searches.. There are plenty of cool people here with lots more experience. Good luck!
