Re: Run CO's at 2.5'' and avoid ball joint damage on OEM UCA's?
you should be ok just as along you don't get extended travel co's and not set them any higher than 2.5". I don't know, maybe someone that actually running this set up will chime in
Re: Run CO's at 2.5'' and avoid ball joint damage on OEM UCA's?
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking I should be ok, just not 100% sure. BTW, what are the actual structural differences in an extended travel CO and a non extended? I'm gona try to get the Icons.
Re: Run CO's at 2.5'' and avoid ball joint damage on OEM UCA's?
I'm not exactly sure, all I know is that they provide more travel which the stock uca's can't handle. you should be fine with standard travel icons. there are tons of people on here that have the same set up
Re: Run CO's at 2.5'' and avoid ball joint damage on OEM UCA's?
i ran donahoe coilovers cranked up to 3.25" of lift on stock upper and lower arms for a couple years, wheeled them hard in the desert about once a month, whooping it up and hucking it... never had a problem with the ball joints..
