Hi Im a new taco owner from the UK

Just bought my 02 d/c V6 and am looking forward to making it my own.

Its currently running a 6" Fabtech lift with 22" Hulk rims and 37" Nitto Mud Grappler tyres.

I know this lift is too small for these tyres as there are rubbing issues on the front and the rear has had a very homemade shackle lift fitted to boost the clearance given by the block lift.

Planning on replacing the rear springs and blocks with a set of 5" allpro springs with a slightly extended shackle and fitting a Performance accessories body lift to give the clearance required.

Have had 4x4's for nearly all my driving life and have just got rid of my 91 Hilux (Toyota pickup) which was running 38" swampers and a 3.0td diesel engine out of a UK spec |Toyota 4 Runner.

It is a US spec Tacoma, they aint available over here so its an import.

Rear Fog light is a requirement on the UK roads and the truck has had a full SVA (Single Vehicle Approval) conversion to be registered.

any pics of your ride?
did you have to change the rear bumper to accomodate the wider plates?

No pics yet but will do some as soon as I'm back home as I work away and do most of my surfing the web on my iPhone. The truck stays at home due to the cost of running it everyday. Gas is currently £1.06 a litre over here (about $6 or $7 a gallon).

Import vehicles can use a non standard plate size so the rear bumper is still standard but carries a US sized plate with UK sized lettering.

The only other difference from a standard Tacoma are side turn signals on the front wings (sorry I mean fenders). These are aftermarket self adhesive ones and look rubbish so I'm gonna remove/replace them. If my MOT guy will let me I'm gonna take them off. If he insists I need them I will find something better and replace them.
