Gonna be doing a T belt replacement/full front end replacement. And I'm gonna get a new crank pulley bolt cuz they are cheap. Anyone know the dimensions?

I'm pretty sure stock is a 19mm head.

Length - 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, etc.?
Thread Pitch - 1.5 or 2.5?

Toyota wants $18 for one.... I might up the anti and go to my local Fastenal and order one before hand so I can get a 10.9 grade bolt, maybe in yellow zinc and a common head size like 20mm. The cost is $4 there.

Anyone?

Need help choosing Competition Clutch

Ok I am in need of a clutch and I have narrowed it down to two choices, the competition stage 3 or stage 4.

First off I need a clutch that can handle heavy duty driving such as towing, daily driving with a lot of freeway stop and go, and racing. I have heard that the stage 3 is a very sensitive clutch and if it is slipped a lot it glazes quickly and then is pretty much ruined. Also I dont know if the stage 4 can handle the type of driving I will be doing. My horsepower goal will be around 350hp, possibly more depending on how much I can make with 91 pump and some water/meth injection. That is another reason why im not sure if I should go with the stage 3 because it is only rated to 350hp.

Anyone that has experience with these two clutches please chime in and share your .02 thanks

OK so I know that I need to cut the two front studs for when I replace the headgasket. Just checking to see how much.

Mongy had a thread and cited that they should be cut 1/4" to work.

I recieved info from another member showing the actual stud lengths being 5 1/8", and 4 1/2". So for those not wanting to think, That's 5/8" difference in length...

So which one is right, or is this just a representation of how it doesn't matter how much you cut off? to a certain degree...

thanks for they help guys.

I know the spacing is definitely the same (5X114.3) so how does one remedy this? I could have sworn I saw someone rocking them before. Possibly mjbtaco (sp?) or my95troika (sp?). Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

hey all. new to the sight and looking for some help. done alot of searching and tried all of the obvious stuff. first off some backround, have a 1996 tacoma v6 5 speed, i dont use the truck for anything other than hunting ofr fishing so it doesnt get used a whole lot and latelyt it is really hard to start and flooding out. just getting it rigged up after sitting all winter i changed the coolant temp sensor cleaned maf and checked grounds and all other sensors, once started runs like crap and usually stalls if i dont floor it, once it stalls the is no chance in hell of getting it to restart unless you push start it. then it goes everytime, still running like crap, there is no cel on. i have a parts truck that runs great and swaped the maf injectors all sensors fuel pressure regulator idle air control. i am out of ideas anyone have any . the only thing not changed is the tps because they were different. i dont think this would cause flooding off of start up tho. thanks

I have gotten a few PM from members asking about rack and pinion bushings, seems the only way to get these bushings (standard rubber) is by ordering a complete rack assembly!

I was thinking of having some made from oilite (an oil impregnated brass casting) that should last indefinitely, you will have more road feedback due to the solid nature of the material, but you will also have no deflection with this setup.

Not sure on cost, just depends on how many I get made and the cost of the material, but its not gonna cost a huge amount, it will be affordable for everyone.

So what do you think? Yay or Nay?

basically its not pretty. front passenger fender should be replaced, all 4 doors open and close fine. all manual car- windows locks etc. headliner is drooping. pass headlight is slightly off. also it burns oil a little bit, need to add a quart every other week (common issue w these cars ive read).

has pioneer deck and speakers all around. great tread. automatic transmission. pretty decent gas mileage (i go about 250/260 miles before i fill up bc needle drops to E at 1/4 tank for some reason).

selling as is for 1300 or trade for a small pick up truck. doesnt have to be pretty, just run well. 4 cyl toyota pref but not necessary.

if someones willing to trade i can add a couple hundred on top of my car to add to the trade. id rather not replace the fender

As you guys well know, the X-Runner was built with performance in mind. From day one I knew I could leave the X-Runner completely stock and it would be real a head turner. However, I chose to take the truck to a whole new level. I wanted this truck to be a true show stopper. By making careful, deliberate choices, I upgraded this X-Runner with performance and appearance upgrades. I chose to forgo the route of generic, readily available parts from your average auto parts store. Instead I searched the internet for the very best parts I could find from all over the world. The result is the X-Runner that stands before you today.

This truck has strictly been my “sunny day” and “weekend” vehicle. It has been garage kept it’s whole life. I can count on one hand the number of times it has been out in the rain. It has never seen snow. In fact, every year from October thru Aril it gets “put to bed” for the winter. During that time I keep it covered with bed sheets in the garage and I only drive it a few miles a month a keep everything in working order. The only mileage this truck has is from road trips up and down the east coast to car shows. All routine maintenance and inspections have been performed by the same dealership where I bought the truck(Performance Toyota, Sinking Spring, PA.) I have all service records as well as receipts for the added upgrades.

Please understand that while I am willing to negotiate a little bit on the price I am not hurting for money. I really do not “need” to sell the truck. I am simply interested in letting someone else have the opportunity so that I can free up the money to pursue another project I have in mind. I am not parting out the truck so please don't ask. Remember that while you may be able to find another X-Runner out there for less money, it is highly unlikely you will find one in such great condition. Especially with low mileage and the amount of upgrades I have installed.
All my time, effort, and dedication means you can rest assured you are purchasing one of the nicest specimens of automotive history you’ll ever have the chance to own.
