well for now anyways....so lately when i start the runner i have been hearing a rattle...thought it was a heat shield loose.....it didnt do it all the time so i wasnt to worried.....so monday we go out and when i cranked it over it sounded a little hard on the start...cranking to way to long then the rattling happend for a few seconds after startup.....so this morning i get off shift and go out and fire it up.......once it turns over i hear a loud clunk and a bunch of rattles but it was running.....thought to myself well it is running and sounds ok....cept for the clunk on startup....get home avoiding turning it off until i had to....good idea cuz as soon as i tried to restart it all i here is the starter spinning....sounds to me like that clunk was the gear...o well...more incentive to gut it and cut it up....unfortunatley not financially ready for that......SOOOOOO onto the question....the starter is buried behind the manifold and crossover pipes.....how hard is this gonna be....it looks pretty crammed in there.
