ive gota battery problem

ok so randomly my truck has lately been not wanting to start like it'll start fine when it wants to when it dosnt it clicks once and then ive gota wait for like 15 min and try again then it starts RIGHT back up *note ive also gota have my door closed* WTF is going on the battery is new (about 2 yrs old) ive been driveing it every day and nothing untill now

it is your starter. mine did the same. u have a couple mroe weeks before it goes to **** and wont turn off haha and then u bring the hammer and hit it and it stops lol.

yeah, sounds like you need starter contacts. I save all of the used contacts that i've replaced over the years. The above pic is about six years worth, i've probably got that many more at work. Btw, one starter only has 2 contacts

yep pretty easy to change and cheap too. Just did mine a few months ago myself:clapping: I think most people would just go buy a new starter when really they dont need to.

alright ill go get those i also found my battery cable (the positive) loose and its fully tightened! so i need a new battery cable thingy that connects the the wire to the battery

If you purchase the contacts at the dealer, just ask for a positive battery cable end.

Note: If you go to the dealer it is best to have your contacts in hand so they can match them up. Different starters have different style contacts and they won't know exactly witch ones you have. Or, just print a copy of the pic that Dx-r took and take it with you. I don't know about other dealers but mine doesn't stock the kits that Dx-r refered to, we have contacts made locally- I Think.

my truck is at about 164,000 miles. I've had problems starting it up for the past few weeks occasionally. I gotta swing by the dealership to get some starter contacts also. I think they are only like a few bucks?

yea theyre pretty cheap...i ended up getting some at an alternater and starter company for $3 each.

I was origionally gonna get em from the dealership but they didnt stock em.:looney:
