I ordered my frame today(yesterday)

It's a Surly Long Haul trucker in Blue.

And I got a Chris King Headset :D

The frame get's here in 5 days and I'll have the bike shop install the headset and I'll do the rest, except for maybe the bottom bracket.

This is kind of what it looks like fully loaded with Panniers and all.

In case you haven't read about it, I'm taking a year off to do a perimeter tour of the U.S.

About 11,600 miles, give or take a few hundred miles.

Here's the thread about it.

Not needed. I'll be mostly on roads and it can handle dirt roads and gravel roads just fine. Suspension would just be extra weight not being used.

This is a touring road bike not a mountain bike.

By the time I get to the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest it will be Summer and Fall.

It'll take three months to get to Florida via the Southern Route, I start at the end of January. I'll stay a month in Florida and then get to NY around July.

I would love to have a Chris King headset on my road bike, but that costs serious $$$. Good luck man. :waytogo:
