Yesterday I went to get an front end alignment (at True Line SD) after doing a 3/4 drop with the djm kit. After the alignment and a minute of driving I started to notice the truck would pull a little to the left during acceleration then even out during light cruising. I thought this was normal until I fully let go of the gas and the truck would do a hard jerk to the right, then even out once again. :jawdrop:
Has this ever happend to any of you guys? I don't want to throw another $50 for a problem that was caused by me and can be corrected by me. Did I over tightend the sway bar end links, installed the rear blocks/leafs wrong, or just feeling it jerk because I only changed the rear shocks and not the front? I won't be making an alignment appointment till tomorrow morning so any tips would be helpful :)

Sounds like they did a sh!tty alignment. I'd go get it checked by the people that did it again.

Did the aligment shop put shims on the upper arms? Maybe they fell out? Maybe you didn't tighten the upper arm shaft bolts and the arms are sliding front to back when you drive. Just go over the suspension again to make sure everything is tight. Also make sure the rear axle is straight on the blocks and the u-bolts are torqued down.

I would go back and pull out my wank and tell them to suck it......then redo the alignment....haha....but seriously they will probably give you some bullsh!t excuse, saying that since your truck is lowered, your truck isnt going to ride perfect anymore....they all give the same story when they dont know what they are doing....take it back I say.....and make sure you pull out your wank...

DJM arms let you use the shims you already had in there so if you didn't keep track of where they went then oops. Go back and have them redo it.

shouldve only had to remove a couple shims.
Your truck should drive PERFECTLY.......dont accept anything less.
Sounds like you may have something loose...like someone said..just look and check all the bolts.
Did ya get an alignment printout sheet?
and if that doesnt work..like DROPITMORE said...just pull out your wank

It could be a bad alingnment. I would have them double check it.
Make sure your brake lines clear everything at full lock in both directions. We had to flip one of the lower bolts upside down for some clearance issue.
It could also be bump steer: Tie rods at weird angles (because of the drop) can cause "wandering" or random steering on bumpy or wavy roads.
Bump steer seems to be fairly tire dependant. Hot Taco says he has no bump steer after his drop. Mine is pretty pronounced except at freeway speeds.

Found the problem. Rear U bolts were loose. So loose that I could turn some of the nuts by hand.:selfbonk: One big O accident I prevented.
