hey all, i searched but didnt find what im looking for....

but i just washed my truck today, after it being muddy for like 2 weeks, i havent had time and it rained on the times i could get time to wash it. but anyways, if i look at the paint/truck i can still see where the mud was, like all over my hood and down the sides. i washed the hood 3 times with soap, that mr. clean autodry stuff..... im getting the fealing its not all that of good stuff..... what could clean this "film" off my truck and whats the best soap to wash the truck with? thanks.

also as a note, that stupid toyo guard wash stuff sucks, it got everywhere and makes washing all that much longer and harder because i thought i washed it all off and then all the sudden parts of my truck started to turn a hazey white... :eyecrazy: lets say that i need to get a new bottle of interior cleaner after throwing it at the garage... lol....

Use a some regular car wash soap with a wash mit. The film left by the mud can be a little tuff to remove, it won't come off with a pressure washer or spray soap at the car wash.

If it's real bad, a clay bar will easily remove it.

that Mr. Clean autodry is a big waste of money. I bought one and I stopped using after 3 washes. Washing your truck with a good car soap and a sponge is much better. Make sure you wash your truck when it's cool too.

Find a quality clay bar at your local auto parts store and use that on the paint. That should get most of that crud off. Then slap some polish and wax on it and you'll be good as gold.

yeah i second the CLAY BAR. I work in television and well we did a shoot for this car care product called Adams. Well they gave the whole production crew buckets full of everything to clean your ride with. Anyway to make a long story short. its the best stuff i have every used. Im sure if you google adams car care you would find it. Thats all.

Definitely claybar before you wax, otherwise you'll just be grinding that crap into your paint. Good car soap and a claybar should do the trick.

Clay dude! It will be well worth your time. I Just bought a bottle of Klasse All-In-One, put it one after claying then a pure carnumba. Best results I've ever had.
