Lube techs are the bottom of the line wannabe mechanics at dealerships. If you want to be a mechanic thats where you have to start off at. Been there done that. I wanted to be a mechanic but not anymore. You have to start somewheres unfortunately. It's all about getting you in and out as soon as possible. They don't stop to think about quality of their work. Thats why I didn't last. I cared about my work too much and at dealerships they just want to make sure your happy with the wait. Most people dont know anything about cars and dont care to check over their vehicles after it is done. But oh well what can you do?

Yeah, when my mom bought her Tundra a few years ago she got a free oil change, yeah well the idiots at the dealership forgot to put oil back into the truck. Well it pretty much messed up the truck, so they gave her a new one, which ended up being a lemon, lol. So then she got another new truck because of that.

district manager denying his own identity? yeah i would totally sue the **** out of the place...

people really should start paying attention to the stuff that gets done to their cars.. i don't trust anyone in those places even dealerships cuz they jerk off all the time.. my friend worked in like 3 different ford service dept's and didnt do anything right

I gotta say I lucked out and have a pretty killer mechanic. Technically he is a porche guy but he has the same truck I do. In 30 years I have never trusted a mechanic like I trust this guy.

Wow, crazy shiznit! I had a Jiffy Lube next to my old custom motorcycle shop and we trade mechanic works like oil change for my truck for his motorcycle oil change. But that place was freaken busy all the time, specially on the weekends. They do all this weird shiznit tech stuff and I could tellit was done because it would stink up the whole compound. Actually I'd even get free labor if I bring the parts to him. Not a bad trade.

Imagine, what a huge class action lawsuit!!! Hopefully you Jiffy Lubers kept your receipts!!! :waytogo:

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. IF YOU TAKE YOU CAR TO JIFFY LUBE YOU HAVE IT COMING TO YOU :nana: OR ANY OF THE LITTLE SH$T STANDSAre you kidding me? Some of these quick lube places charge more than the dealer to do an oil change.

Either way, you're still paying for a service, regardless of price.

Some people are lazy or uninformed, I agree, and there is no excuse for a guy who is in good shape and has his own driveway to not do the basic maintenance himself. Some people, especially those who live in apartment complexes, or the elderly can't do it themselves, and its a shame that these quick lube places screw people like that. We spend tens of thousands of dollars on our cars, and to be screwed like that when paying for essential maintenance is appaling.

Just because you have the means to do your own maintenance, doesn't mean that you will be able to. Some places take 15 - 30 minutes to do an oil change. For me, it takes at least an hour or more, because I do not rush things, and I make sure it gets done right.

Sometimes it takes longer...depending on how much beer is in the fridge...
