2006Taco 03-01-2006, 04:30 PM Hey bros, I got first place on Sunday for the mild class in import trucks. The show was here in Miami, but man did I miss my S10 (show only, with bags).
Here are some pics of the Taco with the drums done! S10 is still in the paint shop so fixin the Taco(daily driver). I love both, and the Taco is no doubt made better and much faster!!!

2006Taco 03-01-2006, 04:32 PM other side, almost matches the paint. Maybe when it fades a little it will look closer to matching?

Drewbert 03-01-2006, 04:33 PM sweet got n e pics of it at the show?
vagrant 03-01-2006, 04:34 PM Is that the same paint as the truck? Post some pics when your done.
2006Taco 03-01-2006, 04:40 PM Different paint(caliper/brake paint) but it does look real close! Show was not to big but it was in a parking lot of the sponser! Only 3 of us made it from the club but we all got a 1st in trucks or SPL, yes there was other trucks.

TheBeachCruiser 03-01-2006, 04:41 PM your truck looks stock, how did u get 1st place?
2006Taco 03-01-2006, 05:00 PM Mild class, look at the bottom, those are the things I have done and more.
Goes by a point system. My S10 is in Extreme class which is very hard to get first place. My other buddies get 1st all the time in their S10 because they are in the mild class.

savege 03-01-2006, 05:18 PM nice trucks, I have seen a black colorodo droped with black rims tinted windows and the emblems taken off and it look tight. Have any of you guys taken off you emblems in the rear? does it look better?
Scott Bessel 03-01-2006, 05:37 PM It looks like with that SOS drop kit you spend a lot of time on the real bump stops...

I figured since I also have the SOS drop kit, I can kinda' answer this one as well. It's not too bad with the bumpstops...but you can cut the stock one's down to give you a little more room to play with. This is on my things to do list!
2006Taco 03-01-2006, 07:21 PM Yeah SOS kit hits a little but not to much, I'm going to try and cut or fix that when I'm done with the paint on the drums. The back badges are still on but I've got an idea for them to come off somewhat.

These should look awesome with the chrome ones coming in on Tuesday!! :headbang:
FourtyOz2Fredom 03-03-2006, 04:55 PM Nice
Looks good. :headbang:
Be sure to wipe them down after each truck wash to keep the buildup off. I painted mine 10 months ago and they still look freshly painted
Did you paint the front calipers too?
2006Taco 03-03-2006, 06:28 PM This weekend because i did the bump stops and tried to do the rear sway bushings (didn't fit)
DRIVEN2MADNESS 03-03-2006, 09:39 PM the rear springs need to be stiffened . even if you cut the stops you will still spend a lot of thime hitting them...as for the drums in my opinion id leave them black..
2006Taco 03-04-2006, 12:20 PM Hasn't hit yet and feels like the stock ride more. I like the blue better than the rusted black look.
