XR's: North Carolina (NC)

Winston-Salem, I did a search of all the dealers in North Carolina to find where the first one was being delivered to and as far as I know I have the only one in the state right now unless somebody bought it out of state and smuggled it in, hehe. I thought I wanted the Blue and was going to wait. I just went to test drive this one and it was love at first site. I got it in Hickory which is about an hour drive away. Looks like my local Toyota dealer is getting about a dozen of them according to their inventory. www.fredandersontoyota.com (http://www.fredandersontoyota.com) they are located out of Raleigh, NC.
I just thought I would share that. I would like to get one, but my S is still doing too good for me to get rid of her.

I live in the Charlotte area and I haven't seen any other Xr's yet unless they're sitting on the lot. I did see one at Myrtle Beach right after I got mine though. Red is still the best looking color IMHO.

I've seen a few xr's in the charlotte/concord area but not many. I have not seen any on this site that are in the area. Sorry.

The only XR I've seen in NC was in July driving near the shore North towards Duck and Corolla. It was black. With tourism traffic, I couldn't U-Turn to see who it was.

Just right down the road from you in Lincolnton, came through Cherryville today. There is also another blue one in Gastonia.

I'm in Raleigh, not that far away. I have seen two on the road here, one driven by an old man, and another by an older heavy set lady. I wonder if they really realize what they bought? never know. I had a radiant red S-Runner from may 2001 til this november, and the only S's I saw were Rich's in fayetteville(on this site) and Lou's(also on this site) Only reason I mentioned that is because just two days ago, I saw a hot chick driving a RR S-Runner, hope she didn't get mine :D

I have a 05 RR x-runner in wilkes county... There is another black one around here. Thats the only other x-runner i have seen on the road. Thought i was the only person in nc that used this forum. A get together may be possible sometime. Would be great for all of the x's to go hit deals gap one day. If your not familiar with deals gap just do a search for it. Probabley the best road in nc.

I've seen three, in Winston-Salem Blue one at Hanes Mall, a Red one on HW421 just out side of Lewisville about 4 months ago, and a black one that a guy named Donovan owns, He came and hung out with me and Gregg (Xtrapsi) and some others at Hooterz in Winston a while back. He lives in Winston and works in Yadkinville. I see it on HW421 all the time.

I KNOW I'VE SEEN 3 OTHER X'S IN FAYETTEVILLE....2 SPEEDWAY BLUE AND ONE RR. BOTH OF THE OTHER BLUE X'S ARE OWNED BY MILITARY GUYS....ONE FROM CHARLOTTE AND THE OTHER ONE FROM EITHER WASHINGTON STATE OR THE D.C.AREA. I HAVEN'T MEET THE GUY THAT HAS THE RR X YET!! :waytogo:

Seen one two different days last week. Once near concord mills mall and another time near the hospital in concord. I believe it was the same truck both times. :shrug: Is it anyone on here?

I got a 2005 Black X-Runner from Gastonia yesterday. I am just trying to learn about these things... mods and stuff. Already ordered the URD Short Shift kit. I am trying to find out what people think about it. There was a thread, but no one actually said they liked it.

Freindship Sporting Clays is in East Bend. I ride my bicycle around East Bend all the time. I just got my XR Weds from a dealership in Gastonia. I got an '05 model... It was on the lot for 7 months. Got a SMOKING deal. I only hope the trany will be one of the good ones! We should have a get together. By the way, there is another thread just like this one.

I almost purchased my RR XR from Rice Toyota in Greensboro last week but ended up getting a decent deal locally (only $400 difference + local had more options) here in Lynchburg, VA. If you guys get together in Greensboro or somewhere in Northern NC --- would you mind if a VA XR stopped by??? I always like the opportunity to make a trip down that way.

Maybe we could arrange a Mid-Eastern gathering this summer some time?

YEAH MAN! That's me! Cool. We'll have to get up sometime. There was a dent in the tailgate and some small scatches that I'm making them fix before I pick it up. Hopefully I'll get it by the end of this week.

Yeah they told me Friday that they were probably going to sell the blue one that day.

BTW, I know there's another Blue one and a Black one in Lynchburg. I've seen them around. It would be cool to get all of us together just for a little street-side show one weekend. :headbang:
