A bunch of little things at once.

Just thought I'd post a bunch of random thoughts/questions at once to save server space...

- First, I thought this was funny so maybe you will too: a 12V electric turbo/supercharger on ebay. He's gotta be smokin crack to think this is actually going to add power right?! Check out the link:

- 2nd: Can anyone recommend a quality additive that I can add to my tranny to make it shift like butta?! The stock shifter seems to want to stay in gear a little more than I'm used to... I already have the URD shifter but haven't really done the clutch pedal mod yet...

- 3rd: I guess the Volant intake kit is offically out because I ordered one from performancecenter.com for $277. Curiously, the web site said that it only fits X-Runners. Shouldn't it fit all 4.0L Tacomas?! Also, Volant's web site doesn't even list the kit so what's coming in the mail for me?!

1. $600 for a 15-25hp increase??? NO THANKYOU
2. I was gonna say get the URD Short Shifter but looks like you got that covered. I dont know about you but as soon as I installed it, it shifted like what you call "butta" lol.
3. Damm you I posted a thing in the Group Buy section wondering if anyone would be down to buy a bunch of these. LOL Oh and they are definately out cuz there are a few people on here with them. All X-Runners though.

Maybe in 20 years or so, a real electric turbo might be able to squeeze alot of air into your car but then again, maybe our electric motors might be faster than gas ones too... It was worth a laugh though. Can't believe he's actually selling this gimick for $600!!! Hey, maybe I can plug my outdoor blower into my intake for some boost?! I can brag about having the first two-stroke that powers a four-stroke...

holy crap. that is a 12volt bilge blower for a boat with a filter on one end and a rubber coupling on the other. check it out. here is the link. cost $59. i've installed a tone of those over the years of all different sizes and i can tell you they put out absolutely no pressure whatsoever. thats a hell of a markup to 600 bucks.

Donkey prolly figures if a low restriction intake will make an increase, so will this blower and prolly true to a small degree since you'll take off the restrictions to put this POS on. Free enterprise at it's finest... hahaha

I saw that charger @ sema last month. The one I saw only engages when you floor the accelerator. It sounds like a vacuum. I was thinking about getting it for my girl when she gets her scion tc, it's suppose to add about 15 hp. They were promoting it for $300 but that's wholesale.

Ha! Me too... I'm not sure if he's talking about the same charger but I came upon this ad in a car mag the other day and it sounds like the same scam... But this company actually offeres the upgraded "dual" supercharger! Maybe I should go through my house for old useless gadgets and sell em as "performance" products! I know, my ceiling fan could be the ultimate oversized impeller upgrade for your turbo!
