Tac-O-Ber-Fest 2005

Thats right, fellow CT'ers.. Its time again for the 2nd annual Tac-O-Ber-Fest. I for one can only hope to top the number of CT'ers that came out, ate, got full and had a great time meeting other CT'ers from the site.
The date will be the second weekend of October, which is Oct. 8th & 9th.
The place is of course @ our home. The address is 3845 Schuylkill Rd. (Rte 724), Spring City, PA 19475.
Menu is yet to be determined, but I do really want to utilize my new 6 foot long grill so expect something in that order.
We do have room for sleeping bags (on the floor) or bring a tent with you. Sorry but the bedrooms and sofa's and air mattress's have been spoken for (a year in advance). But do have floor space (unless you've heard Rustang snore).
Motels nearby would include Pottstown PA, Fraser, PA, and King of Prussia (although it could be costly in KoP).. Ya might check with Pip to see if he can hook up some Marriot rooms with a discount.. We have a couple of those nearby.
Try to give me a heads up if you are coming.. I'd hate to run short on food, and don't want alot of extra (like the 15lbs of left over catfish from last year).
If we can get everyone in here before 4PM on Saturday we can cruise over to the BuxMont Street Rod monthly meet and show off our rides and check out some 400+ Street Rods.. (Its about 20 minutes from my house) And they are very hospitable to everyone.
If ya want, you can come in on Friday nite.. Again just need a heads up.. Thats about it.. Hope to see you here!!!

You stated you may be able to sleep one more on your air mattress. I got to thinking about that and have figured if everyone slept on their sides you could possibly sleep up to 4 on one mattress.. Give it some thought.. LOL

Well.. Right now the lunch menu (because we are expecting around 80-100 peeps)
Will be:
Burgers, hotdogs, chicken chili (of course), and I'm still debating doing a BBQ pork loin, but maybe, baked beans, chips, sodas, beers, ice tea.
The dinner menu for those staying overnight:
Possibly catfish.. (why I need a head count, I bought 47 lbs last year, and that was a bit much leftover..) Or grilled chicken, Guarantee you won't be hungry, whatever we decide on.
Breakfast will probably be gravy, biscuts, poor mans scrambled egg mix (sausage, eggs, potatoes, green peppers, onions, ham chunks), & sweet rice.
Its still up in the air.. Depending on how many will depend on the menu.. But as stated.. You will not go hungry..

Hmmm a 3 room tent??? That we could use.. As for the deer.. LOL I can point you to Valley Forge National Park on your way home, as long as you can sprint/run.. You should be able to bag a pickup load in say 3-4 minutes.. I just wouldn't want to get caught doing it..

For example: Certain types of meat require less cooking time per pound than others do.. So, the bulky meats will be prep'd, seasoned, and ready to cook early considering it will take 6 hours to GIT-R-DONE!!! So if you arrive around 11:30, you should be good to go..
