Popping noise in Front suspension ?/??

Ever since I installed my front spacers I am hearing and feeling (in the floor board) a popping noise every time I hit a bump. At first I thought my struts were overextending but I am noticing it happens on the compression stroke not the rebound. Has anyone one else had this problem??? It is driving me nuts and I am afraid something is going to come off. I have checked all my bolts at least 7 times and everything is tight. Could it have something to do with the sway bar endlinks because of the lift putting them into a bind, because it also does it when I back out of my driveway??? PLEEEASE HELP before I lose my mind. http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/brickknock.gif

Thanks.

I was keeping an eye on that post when it was going on but I have no symptoms of blown struts ( bouncing and leaning) and I installed the spacers so I know that everything is there so any more suggestions??

Thanks anyway JaiRook http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

u sure u had no spare parts left over? those lil bushings on the rod can be easy to miss... other than that, Jason HAPA777 had a similar problem, and he found out his front swaybar was jarring loose...

I am about 99.9% sure the bushings are on there. I have to take the struts out again because Doug at Toytec sent me some extra rubber spacers to get the full 3 in so I will make sure when I disassemble them again.

What was wrong with Jason's sway bar exactly? I have a feeling that is where the problem is even though it feels tight. I was planning on taking out the sway bar completely and driving it carefully around the neighborhood to see if the noise goes away. But considering a coilover lift is basically the same principal it seems like the sway bar could be a problem with a spacer lift or a coilover lift. I was also playing with the idea of spacing the sway bar down a little where it bolts to the frame.

Did you ever get a solution and was it on the compression of the struts? Wait you have a mini right?

i was told to get an alignment because i never did after my spacer lift. but im sure it is still gonna do it afterwards. when i go down the road, i get this really annoying "clunking" noise. when i hit the break, it will stop until im barely moving, then it will make this popping noise. i can actually feel it in my brake pedal. i know it has to do something with the suspension because it started after the spacers. ]

yea its a mini. im sure everything is gonna be different. i just posted it in 4x4 because i thought i would get a better response.

i was thinking that it might be my ball joints but im not sure. today i was looking at it and i noticed that on the driver side, the upper control arm was resting on the bushing(i guess thats what they are). on the passenger side(popping side) it looked like it was not resting on that bushing. http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
