I want to build my 03 double cab tacoma with a 10" whiplash suspension system 4" highboy coilovers, 3" body in the front and a 4 link system in the rear with an adjustable bag kit. Any suggestions?

Yeah have fun breaking a sh!t load of stuff. If you can crank to 4" of lift with that set of coilovers and get it down the road you let me know.

I have heard that they dont make the best quality kits. I dont remember why, but I do remember a couple of people saying that they are POS.

You do realize that that is 15" of lift not including any additional lift from the tires? You could fit 40's on that, this giving you an additional 4" of lift from the stock 31's. Thats a total of 18 inches of lift on a really narrow track truck. I agree with the others on this. One, the whiplash kit is a piece of sh!t. Two you will break tons of crap, and three you'll be in a coffin on wheels. It's you money and your life, however I'd advise against it.

there is a dub cab taco on here with a similar setup and he has 42s on it. I can't recall his name though. http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

EDIT: his name is BigTacoma42

he has 16" of lift and 42" tires. check his profile, then check some of his previous posts and you can see some pics of his truck. http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

he doesn't have a 4 link or airbags though.

just as a little side not for you guys bashing on the cowboy, I dont wear tight jeans however I am a country boy, but my horse is a 2004 cr250 or the cbr600rr, and as far as the "lady folk" thing goes I probably pull more ass than you...and as far as the cowboy thing goes, like I said im a country boy, ya I have guns, I smoke the cowboy killers (marb reds - nothin to be proud of by the way), and I got the cowboy charm when it comes to the ladies...by the way, no offense on the pullin more ass than you thing, the truth does hurt tho...no pun intended, all fun and games around here right? http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You got it, buddy!

The Lady folk thing was in reference to the girls sporting that "Cowboy up" stickers on their rigs, but if you took it as an attack directly to you......it wasn't intended.

Also, you may have a newer bike in the RR, but I can give you a run in my SRAD.

Have fun on CT and you might want to cut down on talking about "pulling more ass" so much. I'm starting to wonder http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

haha, no worries half baked I didnt take any offense, and im not sure what you mean by the SRAD or whatever but the RR really isnt that fast of a bike as far as street bikes go anyways, if I wanted a faster one I would have opted for the GSXR or Ninja 636, my RR is quick dont get me wrong but it will stomp those other bikes in the corners, and its a lot more comfortable for a tall guy like me (6'5")....sorry to anyone who gets pissed about this post cause its way off topic

Hmmmmm, you don't know the GSXR Srad's? The SRAD's are the older Suzuki's. I have a pic in my profile.

Don't worry about anyone on this thread because it was yours to start off with. It'll either get back on topic or just die out just like those whiplash kits http://www.CustomTacos.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As for your bike, it's kind of what our trucks can do as well. Depending on your type of riding/ Bikes, the same applies to the wheeling/ Trucks. Get your mods accordingly.

6'5", I would think you would have got a Liter bike cause those 600's would be too small? Like the GSXR 1, CBR1000RR, etc.....

.....and yes, those RR's do handle way better in the canyons! I have yet to see a handful of people that can really push a 600 to it's limits on the track or twisties....

I would have gotten a litre bike but this is my first street bike, I have been riding dirt bikes since I was 7 and have quite a bit of skill on a motocross bike, but there really is no comparison if you ask me between dirt bikes and street bikes...what it all came down to is responsibility...im prettynuts on my cbr, insane on my dirt bikes, so I figured I would be dead on a litre bike...once I am more confident in my riding I will ante up to a litre bike, and when I get a few more grand to burn a hole in my pocket...I just like to get out and ride, I am however considering trading in the bike for a buell firebolt xb12, I love that bike, just worried about letting myself getting too carried away on something with that much power to weight ratio
